can't boot!
>Description:
I try to install NetBSD on my SUN 3/80. I tried to write a miniroot
to my swap slice and then boot. But i always get an error:
> b sd(0,0,1) -s
Boot: sd(0,0,1) -s
Error (PSR = 0x203) Bus Error:
Vaddr: 60000000, Paddr: 00100000, Read, FC 3, Size 1 at 0x0000404A.
Can someone tell me what to do?
>How-To-Repeat:
1) Boot from tape
2) partition disk
3) dd miniroot to swap slice
4) try to boot from this slice (b sd(0,0,1) -s)

State-Changed-When: Sat Oct 27 15:38:26 PDT 2001
State-Changed-Why:
you must have created the swap partition more than 1 GB into the disk.
the sun3 firmware can only address disk offsets less than 1 GB,
it just ignores the higher-order bits, so you'll get mysterious
crashes like that. I've added a warning in the install notes
about this problem, that's the best we can do.
