Interesting. We just found out "ifconfig" in sparc64 miniroots does not work
either. Not sure if this is related, though.

Can you try the miniroot in:

 	ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/scw/mvme68k-miniroot

and let me know if it works please?

 Cheers, Steve

The ifconfig in the sparc64 miniroot seems to have some issues
too (addresses always reported as 0.0.0.0) - maybe this is
 	related?

I doubt the problems are related. mvme68k's miniroot simply got corrupted
somehow before it was uploaded to ftp.netbsd.org.

The old miniroot on ftp.netbsd.org is back. It is not acceptable
to change the release binaries after the release. We need to work
out a better solution.

This PR can be closed now that the faulty 1.5.1 mvme68k release has
been superceded by 1.5.2.
