Please try this in -current., with USB_DEBUG compiled in and uvisordebug set
to 20. This will provide more useful information on where it's failing.

The original output was obtained with UVISOR_DEBUG and
 uvisordebug=100.

I tried on 2.0F as you suggested (with USB_DEBUG and uvisordebug=20)
 and got the same:

   uvisor: vendor=0x54c, product=0x66
   uvisor0 at uhub1 port 1
   uvisor_attach: sc=0xc0f84600

uvisor0: Palm, Inc. Palm Handheld, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 2
   uvisor_init: getting Palm connection info
   uvisor0: init failed, STALLED
   uvisor_attach: ATTACH ERROR

 After failure:

   uvisor0: at uhub1 port 1 (addr 2) disconnected
   uvisor_detach: sc=0xc0f84600 flags=1
   uvisor0 detached

FWIW, this device worked flawlessly on Linux 2.4.

Could you change the definition of UVISOR_GET_PALM_INFORMATION_LEN in uvisor.c
to 0x14 and try it again?

Also, either way, please run it with the original value with uhcidebug=15
(decimal) and send me the output.

The dmesg output with the original value is available at
