>Description:
If it doesn't have a bad impact on the resulting kernel size, would it be possible to add the lxtphy(4) driver to the GENERIC config. The only ne(4) PCMCIA card I can currently get to work in my Jornada 680 has this particular PHY attached. It would make the GENERIC kernel in releases/snapshots more useful to me.
>How-To-Repeat:
"New Media LiveWire 10/100" ne(4) PCMCIA card inserted into Jornada 680 running vanilla kernel does nothing. Inserted into i386 laptop running GENERIC shows the card works and has an lxtphy attachment.
>Fix:
Add to arch/hpcsh/conf/GENERIC below other PHY driver definitions:

lxtphy* at mii? phy ?

(copied directly from arch/i386/conf/GENERIC)

Insert the problem ne(4) PCMCIA card into Jornada 680 running this modified kernel, card gets discovered correctly, and appears to work.
