>Description:
The patch at http://www.anastigmatix.net/cvsweb.cgi/NetBSD/rosegarden214.pat
can be applied to the audio/rosegarden sources to enable MIDI playing
on NetBSD (with the kern/32694 patch). This is a very ancient X11
version of rosegarden but at least can be used as a simple MIDI playback
device with stop/start/forward/back, and has some notation capabilities
too.
wip/rosegarden is much more fully featured (and much more huge, and
drags in 140 MB+ of KDE baggage) but is not yet able to play MIDI on
NetBSD.
This is a single patch file affecting multiple source files and can be
applied manually after 'make patch' in audio/rosegarden. Easier for
me to make one file than the several for a canonical pkgsrc patch set,
and a simple mkpatches / make makepatchsum after applying it ought to
create an updated package (some attention might be needed to the files
created de novo).
Playing is fairly solid, but can be made to fall behind on a few
Note Offs if using Jeff Glatt's "Joan of Arc" as a test file. :)

Hi,
I see that means anastigmatix.net/cvsweb.cgi is giving 500 Internal
Server Errors.
I've put a ticket in with the hosting service. I didn't deliberately
withdraw the patch. :)
This is the first anyone has mentioned the problem to me.
Regards,
-Chap

Not sent to gnats (send to gnats-bugs@, this usually requires manual
invention if replying to yourself, unfortunately)

realistically, it was probably the first time anyone had looked since
it broke :-/
