>Description:
Using the pkgsrc-current/net/samba utility smbtar with the -v and -t
arguments produces a corrupt tar archive because the verbose output from
-v is on stdout instead of stderr.

I should clarify that I am using "smbtar -t -" and piping that to
"dd conv=osync" in order to write blocks with the tape drive block size,
which is a multiple of the tar block size, because the maximum tar block
size is so small.
I don't think this problem would affect "smbtar -t /dev/nrst0"
