	3.99.24 is working kernel and 4.99.1 is not working one.

 How exactly does it fail? 'does not boot' can mean quite a few 
 different things.
 And, did you try anything newer than 4.99.1 or did you narrow the 
 failure down to this version?
 I remember having to fix a few things to make NetBSD boot again on my 
 iBook G4 after G5 support was committed, not sure when exactly I did 
 that.

 Oh, sorry.  It hangs just after printing "console keyboard
 type:" message.  Please take a look at the thread started
 from my message posted to port-macppc in July.

 Yes.  Actually I tried the version as of July, then did
 binary search to find the point of breakage.  Not tested
 latset one though, so I try it soon.

 My friends' PowerBook G4 booted my test kernel.

 I tried your 4.99.1 kernel on my iBook G4 - loads fine, makes it all 
 the way to asking about the root filesystem. If I remember correctly 
 there was some change in that time frame which requires new bootblocks 
 - how old is your ofwboot.xcf ?
