System: NetBSD 4.0_STABLE (GENERIC.MP) i386
Architecture: i386

>Description:

envstat reports mostly incorrect and incomplete data for my Asus
	PSCH-SR based system.

the acpitz(4) driver also complains regularly

Here's the system's dmesg output from a GENERIC.MP kernel with
some additional "verbose" options turned on:

Here are the kernel messages from acpitz(4). They repeat every
	15 minutes exactly:

Here's the envstat output. It's pretty much all bogus -- I
think the nearly-correct values are just a coincidence. The
BIOS setup screens show valid values for everything that should
be there. I'll see if I can get a serial console set up and see
if the setup screens redirect properly. The Asus manual shows
more or less the same screens I see.

A -current kernel shows the same problems (once the lm(4) device is
added to the config, that is):

(note all values, including the fans, show up fine in the BIOS screens)

For the record, now with a serial console attached, and with the BIOS
serial console redirection enabled, and with a whole lot of banging on
keys to somehow get into setup mode on the serial console, I can finally
show the Hardware Monitor screens that display the correct values for
 all the hardware sensors:
