>Description:
NetBSD whois does not properly report the data for OVH.NET

Debian whois-4.7.28 and jwhois do not have this problem.

$ /usr/bin/whois ovh.net

Whois Server Version 2.0

Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.

seems to work now, but I don't know why it would ever have failed.
 thoughts?

whois(1) is a dumb client that just prints the answer from a whois server.
The only smartness is in guessing a suitable whois server for the query.
For domains the $TLD.whois-servers.net server is asked.

For this specific query, nothing has changed on the client side. The
difference is therefore only in the server answer.

Other whois clients made other guesses about the whois server and may also
try more than one server until they recognize an answer they like. These
heuristics however have never been perfect.

State-Changed-By: maya@NetBSD.org
State-Changed-When: Thu, 29 Nov 2018 07:36:26 +0000
State-Changed-Why:
Transient issue with the whois servers. If we want to improve the whois functionality, we should probably have a separate bug describing that better.
