Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
The installation works well with setup the system via FTP. After rebooting the MP kernel and access the LAN via rtk0 interface some pings going through
then the system freezes. After an update to NetBSD 5.0 BETA installation works via FTP perfect, then downloading the pkgsrc all is fine, and then at
the installation of teTeX the system freezes in the middle of downloading the files.
>How-To-Repeat:
Accessing the LAN via rtk interface, wait for a while and system freezes at any time.
>Fix:
I don't know. Updating to 5.0 do not fix the stability.

 Some things to try:
    - since you were using GENERIC.MP on 4.0.1, I deduce you have a
      multiprocessor machine; does the problem go away if you use
      'cpuctl offline' to drop down to only one cpu?

    - try building and booting a kernel with the DIAGNOSTIC and
      LOCKDEBUG options and see if you get a panic instead of a hang;

 Also, if you could provide the dmesg output from bootup it would help
 us diagnose the problem.
