>Description:
Meta-Control-Space should (theoretically) send ESC NUL if
PCVT_NULLCHARS and PCVT_META_ESC are defined; in reality,
it just sends ESC.
Because of the grody encoding hack used by sgets() to
implement PCVT_NULLCHARS (if the first character is a null, send it),
there isn't a trivial one-line fix.
>How-To-Repeat:
in a kernel with PCVT_NULLCHARS and PCVT_META_ESC, type a
M-C-SPC to emacs.
>Fix:
none yet; perhaps change sgetc to return a count (through a pointer
argument) as well as a string, like it should have to
begin with.

State-Changed-Why:
PR forwarded to Hellmuth, who responded:
Moved into pcvt's "BugList" file since i have no solution for
it yet. I'm close to working on a new keyboard mapping
structure where this problem too will be fixed.
The problem is that strings mapped to keys have a "\0" as an
end of string delimiter instead of a count of chars in a
map-string. This is a known annoying mis-design of pcvt which
will hopefully fixed in the near future.
PR suspended until a fixed version of pcvt is available.

Has this problem been solved by either a new rev of PCVT since '94,
or by wscons?

Is not this PR moot now that PCVT has been declared dead & buried?
