 Looks like the bulk of the message didn't come through.

 Here's how to reproduce this, IIRC:

   mkntfs -Q /dev/wd1a
   ntfs-3g /dev/wd1a /mnt
 then
   dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/foo bs=126977 count=1
 or
   cp file_of_126977_bytes /mnt
 or
   rsync file_of_126977_bytes /mnt

 Anything less than 126977 bytes succeeds.

 This issue doesn't appear to be present in KNOPPIX, by comparison.
 I don't know if the ntfsprogs version is different there, but could
 check if you need.

 This can be avoided by increasing sysctl kern.sbmax.
