>Description:
The install kernel boots and displays the correct disk size (18GB). Sysinst starts , select disk to install on. Next screen says your netbsd part of the disk is 9mb. There is no option to change this only to modify the netbsd partitions with in this 9mb area. Break out of sysinst and disklabel sd0 says i have only 20320 sectors which is far too small for a 18GB disk. sgivol also gives this figure.

build the sgi-mips iso image and try to install on an o2.

sgivol is in /usr/mdec in install ramdisk and sysinst invokes it.
 (see src/distrib/sgimips/ramdisk/list and
  src/distrib/utils/sysinst/arch/sgimips/md.c)
I don't think svhlavel is needed for install.

 What's your actual problem?

It would appear that disklabel will fail to report the correct disk
size if IRIX is allready installed on the disk.
While the kernel reported the disk as being 18GB disklabel only
reported it as 35MB. After using dd to blank the disk i have now
managed to use sysinst to install sgimips on this machine.
