On Dell Lattitude CPxJ suspend with ACPI locks up the system.

The screen goes blank after resume and typing on the keyboard does not seem to have any effect.

with generic kernel

# zzz

or

# apm -S

then press the power button to resume

State-Changed-Why:
On Dell laptops you can often restore the display (to see panic messages etc)
by setting a "Power On Password" in the BIOS. Please set a "Power On Password",
then set the machdep.acpi_vbios_reset sysctl to the value 0, the
ddb.commandonenter=tr syscto to the value "tr", and try again.

 Hello,

Sorry, I did not notice your message about power-on password.

I tried to install current release NetBSD generic kernel from a set
(5.1 I think) and it still would not work.

Since I have no real use for the system anymore I got rid of it.

 Thanks

 Michal

Submitter can't test; does anyone have a Dell Latitude CPxJ, or should we
just give up on this?

State-Changed-Why:
Not sure there is value in keeping a PR when the only information on it is "very specific laptop did not suspend in netbsd-5". I feel like things are more likely to work these days for these type of old laptops, too.
