but when i change the it i switich the IDE CD-ROM it work.

Could you send the dmesg outpout of this system ? How does using the
SATA DVD-ROM fail ? Is there any kernel message ?

This is not the kernel message, but the message from the installer.
This show that the kernel didn't find the drive though.
Can you send the dmesg outpout for this system ?
