>Description:
The source sets simply aren't on the ISO image. So if you choose to install off of the CD and select the source sets, there is a somewhat annoying and unexpected failure. It's not catastrophic, but how about putting the source sets into the ISO? If they don't fit, why not build a DVD ISO with them included? Or if that's not possible, you could update the install process a bit so at least this issue is obvious at the point you decide to install the source sets.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to install off the CD and include the source sets.
>Fix:
Put the source sets in the ISO.

We should be able to install missing sets from different sources, i.e. use
everything from CD but then go to http for the missing stuff, and/or revise
set selection at the point where we notice there are problems.

So far this is a sysinst issue.

Putting the source set onto the official CD is a different issue: how many
people will want a quick download to try and how many will need sources
anyway. It could be argumented that official releases (and only those, not
the daily builds) should offer both variants.

 Martin

Yeah=2C that should work=2C but it's not obvious that you should go do tha=
t and it will work. It just looks like something in the install failed tha=
t probably shouldn't have. The first thing you might imagine is that the b=

one thing i wish sysinst did better was handle additional/missing
 files/sets in the install image.

everything is pretty muc hard coded. i've always envisioned that
having some metadata file created by the build that sysinst reads
to find out what sets are available and then presents the user
with info based upon this (ie, if your iso image has no source
or X11 sets, don't offer them.) it also allows other parties to
easily add sets for installs and have sysinst deal.

but i have never really thought about implementing it :)
