>Release: NetBSD 6.0 amd64
>Organization:
>Environment:
NetBSD bandit 6.0 NetBSD 6.0 (GENERIC) amd64
>Description:
Using the distributed X components with NetBSD 6.0 on amd64 and setting xdm=YES in rc.conf. This works under standard NetBSD 5.1.2 but crashes with NetBSD 6.0 attempting to load an unknown module. This happens with or without a custom xorg.conf file in place. The seg fault does not appear to be the same one descibed in PR 26998. The problem with Xorg -config not working described in PR 46495 is also present. Attached is the Xorg.0.log from a system startup with no xorg.conf present.

>How-To-Repeat:
This happens during a clean installation of NetBSD 6.0
>Fix:
Unknown. Tried using a custom xorg.conf file and got the same results. Normally my system requires an xorg.conf file to get a wider range of monitor resolutions as the monitor doesn't probe correctly being behind a KVM switch.

Tried two other graphics cards and both give similar results to what the =
GeForce 210 does. The cards are a GeForce GF8500GT and a Radeon HD =
5450. All three cards work fine on the same system under NetBSD 5.1.2.

Sorry about the delay in responding, was on extended vacation,.

I don=92t recall trying to get the server up using the novveau option. =
NetBSD 6.0 wasn=92t a clean upgrade for me on my HW configuration and I =
didn=92t spend a lot of time on it. The same HW is currently running =
8.0 fairly well though so I have no need to go back to 6.0. Would =
suggest this PR just get closed.=

Sorry for the ambiguity, I just wondered if a newer netbsd, with a
completely different nvidia driver, works for this hardware.

State-Changed-Why:
Re-reading, the statement " The same HW is currently running 8.0 fairly well" to mean it's fixed.
