>Description:
The installer in the miniroot asks me for the "domainname". Which
domainname? DNS or YP?
I always have to guess here and chances are odd, that i use the YP
domainname, which is NOT the DNS domainname at my site.
Please ask for the "DNS domainname" at this point.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install NetBSD on a Sun3, choose different DNS and YP domainnames
and forget your meta-information about the installation process ;-)
>Fix:
Edit src/distrib/miniroot/install.sh
and src/distrib/miniroot/install.sub

BTW: You could ask for the YP domainname at installation time too :-)

State-Changed-Why:
This looks, if at all still valid, to be a sun3 problem.
However, from a quick look I can only find "DNS" next to
"domain" in prompts. Is this still a problem for you with
1.4_BETA or 1.4?

This looks, if at all still valid, to be a sun3 problem. Where does
the sun3 install ask for domain anmes... distrib/miniroot/install.sh?

The problem remained 'til 1.3.2, because the miniroot
of 1.3, 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 were broken for sun3x and we
had to use the one from 1.2.

So, does 1.4 confuse you less?

State-Changed-Why:
trivial inspection of various installation sources indicate that this
is still an issue in sysinst (!!!) and in the utils/script-installer
directory.

State-Changed-Why:
i've committed changes to the two things that didn't correctly ask for
the DNS domainname to -current. The fixes should be pulled up to 1.4.1.
If you still experienced this problem with 1.4, or didn't try 1.4,
please try 1.4.1 and make sure that the problem has gone away.

Obviously, i meant "try 1.4.1 after 1.4.1 is released," which
shouldn't be for another month or so, at least.
