Just tested: same problem for suse131_base ldconfig (64bit).

suse 13.1 binaries aren't going to work very well on any existing netbsd release,
so far only -current has the necessary enhancements to the compat_linux{,32} code.

Maybe it should be NOT_FOR'd then?
And, does this explain why it works at a fellow sysadmin's machine with
cpu0 at mainbus0 apid 16: AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 4226 , id
0x600f12
6.1_STABLE(shortly after 6.1.2)/amd64 ?

works fine on NetBSD-6.*-i386, but not on amd64.

(ONLY_FOR_PLATFORM...)
I'm not so sure this is the whole story. I've booted my build
machine with a 6.99.30 kernel (after working around #47290), and
see the same error:
===> Install binary package of suse32_base-13.1
suse32_base-13.1: rebuilding run-time library search paths database
[1] Segmentation fault (/usr/pkg/emul/l...
suse32_base-13.1: populating /usr/pkg/emul/linux32/dev
...
===> Install binary package of suse32_compat-13.1

...
suse32_locale-13.1: rebuilding run-time library search paths database
[1] Segmentation fault (/usr/pkg/emul/l...
=> Returning to build of tsm-6.2.5
...
and after installing tsm, I see
pkg_comp:64bit61-13q4.conf# dsmc
dsmc: error while loading shared libraries: libgpfs.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
while libgpfs.so is installed:
pkg_comp:64bit61-13q4.conf# pkg_info -L tsm | grep gpfs

and mentioned in ld.so.conf
