>Organization:
>Environment:
Can't get it, system isn't booting, but, it's an Intel based x86_64 machine.
>Description:
While booting up for the first time after installing 6.1.4 to a disk on which either a 6.1.4 had been installed, or omnios had been installed, the kernel boots up okay, but the system doesn't proceed beyond the "root device:" point.
I hit the "?" key and got the following output (which I have manually copied);
boot device: <unknown>
root device: fatal page fault in supervisor mode
trap type 6 code 0 rip ffffffff805e8b28 cs 8 rflags 10296 cr2 1c cpl 6 rsp fffffe80ceff4878
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped in pid 0.2 (system) at netbsd:pckbport_poll_cmd1.clone.2+0x1d: movl
1
c(%rcx), %ecx
db{0}>
at this point i hit the "?" key again and got the following output;
db{0}> fatal page fault in supervisor mode
trap type 6 code 0 rip ffffffff805e8b28 cs 8 rflags 10282 cr2 1c cpl 8 rsp fffffe80ceff42e0
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Faulted in DDB; continuing...
db{0}>
>How-To-Repeat:
It occurs everytime I have tried to do an install of 6.1.4 on my system where either 6.1.4 had been already installed, or omnios had been installed.
>Fix:
I am totally raw to NetBSD, so no idea about how to fix this problem.

State-Changed-When: Sun, 03 Jun 2018 21:15:32 +0000
State-Changed-Why:
Is this still an issue? I am suspecting it's the lack of usb3 support, so netbsd-8 should be fine.
