oh dear, nobody ever responded to this at all.
I trust it did get fixed eventually?

I have not tried later versions of NetBSD 7. I can confirm, though, that
NetBSD-current from 31-October-2016 compiles and runs fine, and a SuperH
machine (Jornada 690, hpcsh) can compile software out of pkgsrc just fine.
Also tested running newly compiled packages.

 Thanks,
 John

Feedback received; HEAD is ok but ideally Someone(TM) should check -7...
