>Description:
After installing TeX related packages (via print/teTeX), the list of hyphenation files in
.../etc/texmf/tex/generic/config/language.def
is defunct on Solaris. It contains lines like
%%% BEGIN tex-hyphen-basque
^Gddlanguage{basque}{loadhyph-eu.tex}{}{2}{2}
where ^G is indeed 0x07.
The problem is probably in print/tex-tetex/files/hyphen-install.tmpl. awk seems to be /usr/bin/gawk (GNU Awk 3.1.8). Where is this script actually called and what shell does run it? Maybe the built-in echo is the problem.
