I don't have the uname -a output, as I'm entering this from the live DVD of another OS. However, it was installed and patched up to 7.0.1 yesterday (September 22, 2016). going by memory, the output would otherwise include:

NetBSD 7.0.1 amd64
>Description:
When I boot up Firefox, it hangs and then crashes within one minute. I started it from within twm with:

$ firefox &

As Firefox started and then crashed, the originating xterm session generated this output:

I'm not the most technical user, so I don't know entirely what to make of the above, though I suspect there are some solid clues in there for those who can.

Cheers,
James

 Seems like this problem was not netbsd specific (I've seen others
 mentioned it) and was extra bad for version 47.
 perhaps we should be better about pulling up versions of firefox
 to stable?
 Firefox 48.x and 49 (in pkgsrc-current) crash a lot less.

 Just want to chime in with my $0.02 - completely agree, let's get the
 pullups in when we can, please, it helps pkgsrc and firefox to have as
 stable a time as possible. :)
