NetBSD 7.99.34 (GENERIC.201607240240Z) amd64
>Description:
I have no idea how to describe what I hear but it is not the correct audio of the files I run with. The videos are slowed if the audio is activated but if I pass -an (to disable the audio of the file) to the command, the video will go at its normal speed without sound.

mplayer, DOSBox and moc aren't suffering of the same issue but, strangely, Return to Castle Wolfenstein which I built long time ago is. I don't know if it is linked.

If I had to try my best to describe the audio, I would say : CRRRRRRYYRYYRYRRRYYRROOOOOOOORYYRYYR
It's approximately what I hear.

Sorry for missing informations, I really have no clue on this problem, the terminal isn't saying me anything about it as if everything is working correctly except a "core dumped" when I stop the play (even with -an).

I think that probably it can affects also other users of devel/SDL2.

Not a solution but probably a possible workaround, can you please try:

  SDL_AUDIODRIVER=3Ddsp ffplay3 file

 Hello Leonardo !

And I now know the links between Return to Castle Wolfenstein
and ffplay3, they were both using SDL2. Your command worked with
ffplay3 and with the game. Thank you !

I've committed recent changes to both audio and the SDL2 bsd audio backend.

Is this stll a problem without setting SDL_AUDIODRIVER=dsp?

 Best regards,

 Nat

No it's no more a problem, I don't need to set the SDL audio driver anymore.

 Mes amitiés,
 Adrien.
