Sorry in my delay on testing 7.1 RC1. My configuration is the following: Blade 2500 Red - 2xCPU-8Gb Ram-Original 36Gb Fujitsu 10K-Original DVD-ROM device:
Boot now is going on till the following message:

wskbd1 at ukbd0: console keyboard, using wsdisplay0
root on cd0a dumps on cd0b
root file system type: cd9660
warning: no /dev/console
aceride0:1:0: lost interrupt
        type: atapi tc_bcount:8192 tc_skip: 0
aceride0:1:0: bus-masterDMA error: missing interrupt,status=0x21
aceride0:1:0: device timeout, c_bcount=8192, c_skip=0

This *might* indicate trouble of the dvd deveice to read the CDR you have
created. A simple test would be to just boot the install kernel instead,
which includes a ramdisk setup and should get you to the installer.

I have seen this devices fail with CDRs a lot (and a blade 2k5 is well
 supported).
