When trying to compile lang/polyml, after the C bootstrap, the first proper
polyml phase fails with "Unable to allocate memory".

 paxctl +m polyimport makes it run, but making automake do it seems
 hard...

 Also hangs a bit later for me

 I have now been able to make polyml compile by adding paxctl commands 
 into two of the Makefiles (thanks for the hint!); it's pretty hackish, 
 but it does work.

 I'll commit an update to pkgsrc (there's also a new version out) once 
 I've tested things a little bit more. I'll also submit a bug report to 
 see if upstream can add support so that polyml just compiles as is.
