The current ftp://ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/current/pkgsrc.tar.gz
contains the directories

  pkgsrc/pkgtools/pkg_install/work/
  pkgsrc/pkgtools/cwrappers/work/

that are not supposed to be there, and lots of files within them.
This causes package builds from a freshly downloaded pkgsrc.tar.gz
to fail with errors such as

  ERROR: [resolve-dependencies] A package matching ``pkg_install>=20200828'' should
  ERROR:     be installed, but one cannot be found.  Perhaps there is a
  ERROR:     stale work directory for ../../pkgtools/pkg_install?

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. I believe the admins
have cleaned up and the latest tar.gz does not have the work directories.
