NetBSD rpi 9.1 NetBSD 9.1 (RPI) #0: Sun Oct 18 19:24:30 UTC 2020  mkrepro@mkrepro.NetBSD.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/evbarm/compile/RPI evbarm

>Description:
pkgin update downloads pkg_summary.bz2 and then complains and says:

short read of pkg_summary truncated bzip2 input

and the update fails.

If I wget the file:

$ wget ftp://ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/earmv6hf/9.1/All/pkg_summary.bz2

and manually bunzip2, it comes back with an error.

If I wget the .gz file, it unpacks ok. So there seems to be a corrupt pkg_summary.bz2m on the repo.

Have marked as 'serious' because it prevents upgrade and installation.
>How-To-Repeat:
Download and try to unpack pkg_summary.bz2 for NetBSD 9.1 earmv6hf
>Fix:
Someone please put an uncorrupted bz2 file on the server(s).

Just converting the gz to bz2 should work

State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: dholland@NetBSD.org
State-Changed-When: Mon, 19 Jul 2021 02:13:16 +0000
State-Changed-Why:
The file there is no longer corrupt, probably because there have been a few
new builds since March that uploaded new ones.

(note for the future: this kind of issue is usually better addressed by
posting to pkgsrc-users -- operational reports sent to the bug database
tend not to be seen promptly enough to be useful)
