I can't reproduce the problem on up-to-date -current. Can you confirm
whether it happens still for you, and how to trigger it?
I have used kernel with DIAGNOSTIC+DEBUG+LOCKDEBUG.

 I guess this issue may have been fixed or at least affected by recent
 changes to audio.c for kern/56164 by Taylor R Campbell (Riastradh).
 Not sure if that work is finished and tested though.
