after starting an xterm using right click (or calculator or likely other programs) the window manager won't change the focus of the keyboard to the new xterm. the mouse can be used to click buttons in the calculator but the keyboard always types to the original xterm started by startx. 
>How-To-Repeat:
right click in clear space in xterm (talk to the default window manager) and start a new xterm. try to use it.

none known. i never got to type into the new xterm. maybe a different window manager?

 This is the default twm config? It works for me... you're aware it's
 focus-follows-mouse, right?

 What machine type are you using? You seem to have removed that from
 the bug report...
