Trying to boot with discrete graphics enabled in the BIOS results in a kernel panic:

nouveau0: NVIDIA GK107 (0e73c0a2)
nouveau0: error: bios: unable to locate usable image
nouveau0: bios ctor failed, -22
nouveau0: unable to create nouveau device: 22
panic: cnopen: no console device
[...]

My W530 has an NVIDIA K1000M graphics card.

(As a side note: I have tried sending messages about this and other issues recently to the current-users mailing list and they didn't go through.)
