System: NetBSD marvin-the-martian.nathanw.com 1.6ZK NetBSD 1.6ZK (MARVIN) #72: Mon Feb 16 11:11:22 EST 2004 nathanw@marvin-the-martian.nathanw.com:/nbsd/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/MARVIN i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:

Sometimes, use of the uvisor/ucom drivers (with a Palm Tungsten T)
will wedge the system hard. The hang occurs after the attach of ucom
and either before or just as a userland process (pilot-link) tries to
start communicating. The system is wedged hard enough that one can not
break into the debugger.

This has been observed for several months on several machines; the
current one on a ehci/ohci interface, but also on an alpha with a
plain ohci.

ehci0: handing over full speed device on port 2 to ohci0
uhub2: port 2, device disappeared after reset
uvisor0 at uhub1 port 1
uvisor0: Palm, Inc. Palm Handheld, r
ucom0 at uvisor0 portno 0: portno 0, sync

>How-To-Repeat:

Frequently sync a USB Palm device. Cancelling a prior sync and
restarting seems to make it happen more often, but still not entirely
reproducably.

>Fix:

Unknown. Missing spl(x) in some error case?
