to have more than one remote side to choose from.

Even better would be to have e.g. time-specific phone numbers, e.g.
for cheaper day or night tariffs (depending on the phone number).

Try to use more than one Internet provider with ISDN.

Some shell scripts moving around the isdnd config files are a workaround,
but isdnd support for this would definitely be nicer.
