>Description:
I'm trying to compile openssl with today's pkgsrc cvs branch.
Compilation failes with following error:
[...]
making all in tools...
Segmentation Fault - core dumped
Segmentation Fault (core dumped)

I'm using gmake-3.80nb5 linked with gettext-lib-0.14.5 and I think gettext-lib generates this problem

When I use gmake from SUN packages, compilation runs smoothly:
[...]
making all in tools...
gmake[1]: Entering directory `/root/tmp/openssl/openssl-0.9.7i/tools'
gmake[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/root/tmp/openssl/openssl-0.9.7i/tools'

>How-To-Repeat:
1. install gmake-3.80nb5
2. try to compile openssl
3. watch Segmentation Fault message
>Fix:
currently my only solution is switching gmake from Sun's SUNWgmake package

 (a) Which program core dumped?
 (b) Can you get a stack trace from the coredump?

I'm not sure, if I understand you well, but program which dumpes core i=
 s
 gmake
 I noticed more Segmentation Faults.
This one is during configure phase, just before begining of build phase=
 :

I've got Segmentation Fault also when press ctrl+c during compilation

Can you tell me how to do this?
In http://www.prz.edu.pl/~raczkow/openssl/ there is a core file and sam=
 ple
 output from truss gmake
I don't know if it is what you ask, but maybe you will find it helpful
