NetBSD 4.0_BETA2 (INSTALL) #0: Mon Jun 11 01:53:46 PDT 2007
        builds@wb28:/home/builds/ab/netbsd-4/amd64/200706110002Z-obj/home/builds/ab/netbsd-4/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/INSTALL
Architecture: amd64
Machine: amd64
>Description:
The kernel above does not discover the logical drive(s)
presented by the 3ware 9500S-4LP RAID controller. The same
machine booted from an i386/INSTALL kernel of the exact same
version and date discovers the ld drive(s) without any
	problems.

The machine is an OEM box, with an Intel(?) motherboard and
	2 x Xeon 5130 processors. It's fitted with a 3ware 9500S-4LP
RAID controller and 4 physical drives. Physical drives 0 and 1
	constitute a RAID-1 system.

Here are the /dev/klog from booting amd64 and i386 respectively.

 J=F6rg,

Sorry, my ability to test has gone down to virtually zero. I had to
deploy the single box I had, and it now runs 4.0/i386 RELEASE with
working RAID, sacrificing the last half a gig or so of RAM, and
unfortunatelly it sits locked into a computer room in the opposite end
of town, which I normally visit once per year or so. :-( (Thanks for a
 very stable OS! ;-)

I'll see if I can dig out a similar box somewhere in the office, but
 chances are low.

 Sorry. :-(

 				Cheers,
 				  /Liman

I have already replied to the message I received from J=F6rg with what
little feedback I am able to give.

 				Best regards,
 				  /Liman

State-Changed-Why:
Reporter says it is hard to test, so suspended for now.
Problem is believed to be fixed, but hopefully he will
have a chance to confirm it.
