>Description:
Hi,

Please find attached an upgrade proposal to the latest VM version
(8.0.7). Tested with xemacs214 under i386.
The VM changelog is available in the vm distribution itself (NEWS file).

The patches directory is no longer needed with this version and should be
removed. The attached shar should be extracted in mail/vm directory.

Cheers,
Anthony

 Hello,

Sorry to ask again, maybe I'm not aware of some issues.
Isn't it possible to upgrade officially mail/vm to a recent stable version?
I've been using 8.0.11 for some time now and I didn't notice any serious
issue. On the other hand, improvement on imap support is quite noticable.

I can provide an up-to-date patch for vm-8.0.11 (my bug report originally
proposed a patch for 8.0.7 which is now outdated).

please do (or whatever you're currently using -- even an outdated
version would be an improvement over what's currently in pkgsrc, which
 is 7.19.)

 I dunno why nobody handled this update back when it was submitted;
maybe it's because it was marked low priority...

I have already provided a vm-8.14 draft package to Andreas Gustafsson who is
 currently working on this issue.

Well, there are probably other packages that need more attention than this
one. I don't know how many users of vm there are, nowadays ;)

Thanks for your feedback, I hope to be able to get rid of my diffs soon :)

 Best,
 Anthony

Ok, thanks. If he doesn't get around to it or something, go ahead and
 post it here.

There may be, but that doesn't necessarily have that much correlation
to what gets worked on. :-) Update patches tend to get handled fairly
rapidly in general because they don't tend to require much work.

 You're welcome :-)
