>Description:
re-installed current, tested sysctl -w machdep.sleep_state=3

machine suspends to RAM fine. Except. during S3 state, backlight is on.

I have a sleep script which does wsconscfg -g/-s sequences to restore the correct binding. maybe this tickles the problem, but I don't think so since it completes before the sysctl call.

I used to call radeontool to force the light off, but I wanted to let you know it doesn't get turned off by the current kernel S3 transition on this platform

Does this apply to 5.X also?

If you have an opportunity, can you try also HEAD?
