	Quoting manual page, "Some generic ioctls are not implemented
	for all types of file descriptors. These include..."

	It isn't clear from the manual page itself and referenced pages:
	a) which distinct type of file descriptors exist;
	b) which generic ioctl commands apply to which type of descriptors;
	c) where to search for other non-generic commands, if needed.
	Read the manual page.
	Expand manual page, provide more references.
