	wi(4) PCMCIA cards do not work on -current (all this year, not just
	today's current) - at least not when inserted in a cardbus slot.

	It looks as if there are a constant stream of interrupts (or a
	very very slow interrupt handler - as I don't see large counters
	for any IRQ via systat) that aren't successfully processed.

	That is, if I'm typing in an xterm when I plug in the card, and
	then attempt to use it, echo becomes very sluggish (the system is
	otherwise idle, no processes of note - not even a browser running,
	no swapping) and frequently a key will decide to auto-repeat, as
	if the key-release event was simply missed - this all suggesting
	that keyboard interrupts are not being processed in a timely
	manner, so that I can easily type more than one character per
	interrupt..

	That would usually suggest that either a higher priority interrupt
	is occurring at high frequency (more or less continuously) or
	that some blocking interrupt is rarely exiting its interrupt
	handler.   Note though that the system does not hang, it is
	possible to continue working (with care typing, waiting for each
	echo before typing the next character) while in this state.

	When the PCMCIA card is ejected, everything returns to normal..

	I used this card earlier in a Dell Inspiron 4100 (which is of
	a vintage when laptops didn't come supplied with wireless networking)
	until that system grew so many hardware problems I just had to
	stop using it (pity, it is still the laptop best supported by
	NetBSD I have ever seen - everything "just worked" - including
	access to BIOS functions without disrupting the running NetBSD).
	I forget now which kernel version that ended on, bit it was certainly
	no more recent than 3.99.*, and may have been a 2.99.* system.
	I no longer recall if that was PCMCIA only, or cardbus.

	Plug a wi(4) card into a cardbus laptop.

	The wi(4) I'm using is an original Lucent silver card (as made
	available to attendees at the Adelaide IETF meeting and sold to
	those who wanted them after ... I have several, they all act the
	same way, it is not a broken card).

	The system I tested for this PR is a Dell Precision M4300, but
	I have seen the same effect with a Sony VAIO, so I doubt the
	system matters all that much (though I have not run a new enough
	system on a host that has a PCMCIA only (not cardbus) controller
	to know whether the same happens there.

	The system is as identified above, or again ...

	I have seen the same behaviour on NetBSD -current since the
	first version I installed (4.99.42 from late last December).

	The relevant lines from its dmesg.boot (I will append the entire
	thing at the end of this message, but I doubt there's much there
	aside from these lines that are relevant).

	Oh - the firewire "not configured" is because I don't need it,
	and it used to cause boot to hang (intermittently) if it was
	included, so I removed it from my kernel config and have
	forgotten aout it since (that would have been in kernels of
	te 4.99.42 vintage, which was the earliest I have used on
	this system.)   I never did get around to filing a PR on the hang...

	Next is /var/log/messages output (with some DHCP messages
	removed for sanity) when the wi(4) is plugged in and then
	when dhcp is restarted to try and obtain an address.

	To that point there is no problem, and that included a
	manual "ifconfig wi0 up" - though is possible that the
	errors started with the "up" and I just didn't notice until
	after restarting dhclient.

	After that dhclient is restarted...  (userland on this system
	predates dhcpcd - on the VAIO I mentioned dhcpcd is available,
	using it makes no difference to this problem).

	pity that dhclient doesn't say which interface it got the ACK

	that's not relevant to this PR ...   (DHCP noise relating to

	took much longer for that interface to successfully obtain an
	address than is usual.)

	After the card was removed, everything returns to normal.

	Workaround: don't use the wi card...  (not ideal, I have 2
	wireless networks at home, I'd like to be able to connect to
	both of them at the same time, rather than needing to switch
	wpi0 from one to the other, even though wi(4) manages just
	802.11b (11Mbps) compared to the 802.11g that wpi0 handles.)

	I do not believe this PR is related to 32938 - the interface
	seems to attach correctly.

	Entire dmesg.boot for the system appeneded - you can all stop
	reading now!
