>Description:
I've just installed fresh 5.0_BETA to my laptop (ThinkPad R60). When trying to burn a DVD+/- with "growisofs -Z /dev/rcd0d=dvd1.iso" my system immediately crashes.
The most important (as I think) is kernel error:

thanks for the reply only i would like to see the output *with the faulting
disc inserted* since the drive capabilities `morphs' to the drive+disc
combination; was it a DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD-R and how did you drive
detected and set itself up for that etc...
The panic is i think only related to UVM, but its more clear if i can see
what disc to test before i start trying to replicate it :-D
With regards,
Reinoud

Hi
i think i've found a clue; it only happends when you use `growisofs -Z
/dev/rcd0d=file.iso' and NOT when using `growisofs -Z /dev/rcd0d files'
i.e. its the `=' extension that is somwhow crashing it.
I've appended a first glance on the trace at the end.
With regards,
Reinoud
