>Description:
The asus(4) device driver is not documented and various acpi(4) (recent)
device drivers are not added to acpi(4) man page.
>How-To-Repeat:
For the former:
$ man 4 asus
For the latter:
$ man 4 acpi
/acpidalb
/asus
/thinkpad
>Fix:
Please review and import the asus(4) man page and acpi(4) patch attached
on this PR. Thank you very much!
A note: I tested the asus(4) with my Eee PC 900 with NetBSD 5.0_BETA but
AFAIK the asus(4) hotkeys are the same for every laptops/netbooks.

Thank you very much for looking at this after various years!
I'm not sure if it should wait for feedback especially for the
DESCRIPTION part... Actually I don't remember why but Jared D. McNeill
said to me in #netbsd@Freenode that it need improvements in the
man page but I don't remember exactly what now.
If a NetBSD developer can confirm that all the information are correct
and that they apply on recent ASUS laptops too feel free to ignore this
email.
I remember that I RTFS at that time in case of doubt and I can confirm
that the information are correct for my ASUS Eee PC 900 (still running
NetBSD, but 6.1.4).
Ciao,
L.

We could ask him ;-)

Structually and syntactically and all that it looks fine to me. I'm
sure you know more than I do about the subject matter and the details.

For the record, I did and he didn't remember what it was about, so
we're probably best off just letting it go.
