Boot a GENERIC kernel into DDB. Set breakpoint on e.g. cgdattach.
Continue. Continue from the break point.  We'll get:

fatal trap in supervisor mode
trap type 5 code 0 eip c042a5e1 cs 8 eflags 302 cr2 0 ilevel 0

and the system is unresponsive and needs a hardware reset.
