System: NetBSD sanctioned-parts-list 5.0_STABLE NetBSD 5.0_STABLE (GENERIC) #0: Thu Jul 2 18:47:45 UTC 2009 root@arbitrary:/m/obj/m/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386

Boot a GENERIC kernel into DDB. Set breakpoint on e.g. cgdattach.
Continue. Continue from the break point. We'll get:

fatal trap in supervisor mode
trap type 5 code 0 eip c042a5e1 cs 8 eflags 302 cr2 0 ilevel 0

and the system is unresponsive and needs a hardware reset.

boot -d
br cgdattach
