SunOS ultra10 5.10 Generic_139555-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
>Description:
Building xmlcatmgr with Sun Studio compilers and the following flags:

cc -xO4 -xtarget=native -xbuiltin=%all -xlibmil -xlibmopt -fround=nearest -xstrconst

produces xmlcatmgr that does not install xml catalogs properly, it also appends garbage to the end of xml files. Compiler optimisations cause something to go wrong with this software.
>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:
Compile with '-xO1' flags

(Do we support non-default CFLAGS at all?)

State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: maya@NetBSD.org
State-Changed-When: Mon, 27 May 2019 02:44:06 +0000
State-Changed-Why:
Timing out this bug report: it's a very setup-specific bug report that's a decade old. IF someone said today, "my 10 year old compiler mis-optimizes stuff", I'll say "don't use a 10 year old compiler". If you are still having issues with this package, please report another bug.
