 Does it panic? If so, what's the panic message? (And have you/can you
 enable ddb and collect a backtrace from the crash?)

 The box spontaneously drops into SRM console, no console message appears,
 that i can see before the crash. I will enable dbb and try to collect a
 backtrace, this may take a while since the box is down right now.

 Wonderful. Those are always the best kind :(

 If it isn't triggering a panic but just crashing out to the monitor,
 you probably aren't going to be able to get anything from ddb.

 However, if you haven't, you probably want to compile the kernel with
 DIAGNOSTIC, and turning on ZYD_DEBUG (or USB_DEBUG, which implies
 ZYD_DEBUG) may help too.

    You might be able to enter 'continue' and get back into the console
 restart routine and get into ddb. I'm not sure if that will work in
 this case, but I've used this when the machine hangs and I am able to halt
 it.

 The config_mountroot thing was committed to if_zyd.c on July 4, 2010;
 however, another fix was applied on January 16 of this month, so "the
 latest" is probably the best bet.
