Ever since I upgraded from 5.99.24 to 5.99.27, my laptop has
been crashing almost daily, during the nightly cron jobs.

The most recent crash provided the following lines in syslog
after a reboot:

fatal breakpoint trap in supervisor mode

I can't find a core dump to get more information.

I have no idea why this landed in pending; it's not mangled. But it did,
so move it somewhere useful.

Last night, I left the laptop displaying a text console instead of in
 X. Sure enough, it had crashed by the morning. I managed to get this
 traceback:

   panic ...
   kern_assert ...
   uvm_vop_setsize ...
   ffs_vget ...
   ufs_lookup ...
   VOP_LOOKUP ...
   do_lookup ...
   namei ...
   do_sys_stat ...
   sys__lstat50 ...
