>Release: NetBSD 5.99.48
>Organization:
The NetBSD Foundation, Inc.
>Environment:
System: NetBSD sunny-weather.duskware.de 5.99.48 NetBSD 5.99.48 (SUNNY.MP) #8: Wed Mar 23 21:42:11 CET 2011 martin@night-porter.duskware.de:/usr/src/sys/arch/sparc64/compile/SUNNY.MP sparc64
Architecture: sparc64
Machine: sparc64
>Description:
When booting a install CD with / on cd0a, the GENERIC kernel is used instead
of a special INSTALL one. This means the raid-autoconfiguration-root-fs
override code will be active. So if you do this on a machine that usually
boots from / on raid0, you will not end up in sysinst but in standard
multi user mode.
Workaround: boot with -a.
>How-To-Repeat:
s/a
>Fix:
Add a boot.cfg statement to suppress raid root override (but not raid
auto configuration in general), and modify the boot.cfg files on the install
CDs.
