>Description:
On my system running 5.99.55 with GENERIC kernel I cannot change
audio volume using such programs as aumix and xmms. Volume doesn't change at all.
At the same time

   mixerctl -w inputs.dac=<volume>

works fine.

   $ mixerctl -a

   inputs.reclvl=88,88
   inputs.reclvl.mute=off

Subject: Re: kern/45477 cannot change audion volume on 5.99.55 (GENERIC)
Date: Mon, 10 Dec 2012 19:31:22 +0300

 Similar issue happens on different machine running 6.0/i386 and
 different driver (azalia(4)). I'm able to change volume using
 mixerctl(1) but cannot do so using aumix, xmms and others. Using
 aumix (PCM), I successfully decreased volume but could not increase
 it.  Only mixerctl (outputs.line) helped.

 "mixerctl -a" and dmesg output is below
