>Description:
"makemandb" crashes on my machine every night. Here is the message
from the daily(5) output:
assertion "MAN_BLOCK == p->parent->type" failed: file "/src/NetBSD-6/src/external/bsd/mdocml/lib/libmandoc/../../dist/man.c", line 212, function "man_node_append"
Building temporary file cache

The crash is triggered by the file "/usr/pkg/man/man5/dictionary.5" (or
"/usr/pkg/man/man5/dictionary.5.gz" in my case) which belongs to the
"freeradius2" package.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install the "freeradius2" package and check the daily(5) e-mail on the
next morning.

Joerg Sonnenberger has fixed the bogus manual page:
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-changes/2012/03/12/msg069220.html
To reproduce the problem one needs to remove that patch file.

This seems to have been fixed in the interim. I can't duplicate it in
current (7.99.6) sources using the sample (unpatched) man page. I
don't have any 6.x installations to test with, so I don't know if
this is still relevant for that branch.
