>Environment:
Since I am not able to boot NetBSD install CD, I would only describe my machine:
CPU: Intel Core i7 2630QM
RAM: Samsung 4GB*3
HDD: Seagate 750GB
>Description:
I have a laptop ASUS N73SV, with Intel Sandy Bridge CPU. I want to install NetBSD on it. However, I tried NetBSD-5.1.2, NetBSD-6.0 BETA, and several -current versions, and none of the installation CDs could boot. After the kernel is loaded, my laptop just reboot immediately, what I could see is only kernel panic balabala. I even tried boot kernel with -12s, not work at all.
>How-To-Repeat:
I am not sure if such problem would occur in all Sandy Bridge machines. I suppose it is caused by my CPU.

This is hard to diagnose if we don't know more details.
How far in the boot process do you get before it reboots? Would you be
able to take a photo of the screen with the panic message?

Audio: Realtek ALC269
Graphics card: Intel HD 3000 + Nvidia GT540M

WLAN: Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter (athn)
Since when I boot with NetBSD-6.0 BETA amd64 installation CD, after kernel loading finished, my laptop just reboots immediately without ddb output. So I can hardly catch the error message. It only says: kernel panic: balabala.
I am not quite sure if this is caused by my hardware or because of NetBSD driver issue. However, FreeBSD-9.0 and OpenBSD-5.0 work fine, although without KMS support for Intel Sandy Bridge Graphics.

State-Changed-Why:
It is not possible to investigate this issue. We need more details, at
least a NetBSD dmesg and the panic message. I'm closing this PR. If you're
still having this issue, please re-submit a new PR with more information.
