Hello,
I tried to install netbsd 6 on an Alix 2D13 PC engine.
I previously install netbsd 6 on a CF 1 G via IDE2CF adapter on a laptop and the installation without problems, I try Netbsd 6 on the laptop and it was good.
But when I put the CF in my 2D13 and I start the system I had the following message :
WARNING : couldn't open var/db/entropy-file
WARNING : One module failed to load
Is it perhaps a bug in this version of Netbsd ?
Thank you very much

Those two warnings from the bootcode both should be harmless, please
give us a few more details: are you using a serial console or vga display?
Are the bootloader warnings the only messages you see, or do you at least
get a banner from the bootloader?

Can you please try option 5 (boot prompt) and then do:
consdev com0
boot
This will tell the kernel to use the first serial device for input/output.

As the boot(8) manual pages fail to explain it:
Does anyone know if (and how) it is possible to tell biosboot to select
a different console device *and* speed via the command prompt?
Otherwise you probably have to switch serial port parameters after issuing
the "consdev com0" command (to 9600 8n1 probably, but this also can be
overriden by the bios, so you may have to experiment a bit untill you find
the proper setting).
However, as you have created your CF on another machine, you also can
move it back there and use installboot(8) to modify the defaults coded
into the bootloader - this might be the easiest way forward.
Alternatively, could you connect a VGA monitor and pc keyboard to the
alix board for testing?

There shouldn't be a problem (I'm sure it has worked).
Setting the speed won't affect anything until the kernel is running,
and you should be able to set a speed of 0 -> read it from the baud
rate divisors.

Well, output stops exactly at the point where the kernel is supposed to
do some output - I suppose the bootloader is confused by the bios redirection
and tells the kernel to use vga as console (which has no connector).
Forcing the bootloader to use com0, however, doesn't seem to work either -
which could simply be a com parameters issue (the redirection used 38400 8n1),
or a strange numbering of com devices - I have no direct experience with this
Alix boards, does anybody else use one?

Great you got it working.
You can add the "consdev com0" command to the /boot.cfg file (see man
boot.cfg) and you can also change the serial speed used back to 38400,
if you prefer, via the installboot command (man installboot, search for
"speed=").

=C2=A0Hi Martin,
I think the problem is solved, first I changed the speed from 38400 to 9600=
in the Alix Bios :
BIOS setup:
*9* 9600 baud (2) 19200 baud (3) 38400 baud (5) 57600 baud (1) 115200 baud
*C* CHS mode (L) LBA mode (W) HDD wait (V) HDD slave (U) UDMA enable
(M) MFGPT workaround
(P) late PCI init
*R* Serial console enable=20
(E) PXE boot enable=20
(X) Xmodem upload=20
(Q) Quit
=C2=A0
After I start the terminal emulator gtkterm but with speed parameter 9600 (=
and not 38400)=20
stef-Aspire-5810T stef # gtkterm -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 9600
The Alix PC engine start :
